Today’s Manna!

Psalm 34:8-10 (NIV) invites us to “taste and see that the Lord is good.” This passage reassures us that those who seek the Lord will lack no good thing. The psalmist encourages us to trust in God’s provision, drawing from his personal experience of God’s faithfulness. In a world where scarcity and fear often dominate, these verses remind us that God’s resources are abundant and His care for us is unfailing.

Consider the story of Elijah and the widow at Zarephath in 1 Kings 17:8-16. During a severe famine, God sent Elijah to a widow who was preparing her last meal. Despite her dire circumstances, she trusted Elijah’s word from God, using her last bit of flour and oil to make bread. Miraculously, her supply never ran out throughout the famine, demonstrating God’s supernatural provision for those who trust Him.

This teaches us a profound truth: God’s provision is not limited by our circumstances. He knows exactly what we need and when we need it. In times of uncertainty, we are called to rely on His goodness and faithfulness rather than our own understanding.

To apply this in our lives, we must learn to trust God more fully, especially when faced with challenges. Whether it’s financial need, emotional support, or spiritual guidance, God is aware of our needs and is more than capable of meeting them. Instead of worrying about how things will work out, we should focus on seeking God and trusting that He will provide.
