Today’s Manna!

Paul wrote this letter to the church in Ephesus, encouraging believers to live in unity and reflect Christ in their relationships. The verse is part of Paul’s instructions on how to live as a new creation in Christ, particularly focusing on love, kindness, and forgiveness within the body of Christ.

Literally, this verse commands Christians to show kindness, compassion, and forgiveness toward one another. It reminds us that just as God has forgiven us in Christ, we are called to extend the same grace to others. Forgiveness is not optional but a reflection of the forgiveness we’ve already received from God.

Picture two children playing together. One child accidentally hurts the other, but after an apology, they quickly reconcile and continue playing. Children can forgive so easily because their hearts are free of grudges. Similarly, God calls us to forgive others with the same simplicity, freeing ourselves from bitterness.

Are there any lingering hurts in your life that need forgiveness? How can kindness and compassion transform your relationships? Reflect on God’s great forgiveness toward you and let it inspire you to forgive others.

Today, consider someone you may need to forgive or show kindness to. Whether through a note, a prayer, or a kind gesture, make the first step toward reconciliation, just as Christ did for you.

Prayer: “Lord, thank You for Your abundant kindness and forgiveness toward me. Help me to extend that same love to others. Teach me to forgive as You have forgiven me and to live with a compassionate heart. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
