Scripture: Romans 1:18-20
Devotional: In Romans 1:18-20, the apostle Paul lays bare a fundamental truth about God’s character and existence. He reveals that God’s wrath is revealed against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of people who suppress the truth by their wickedness. In a world marred by sin, God’s righteousness demands justice, but His mercy offers redemption.
As we look around us, we see the undeniable evidence of God’s existence. From the intricacies of nature to the depths of the human soul, His fingerprints are everywhere. Despite the attempts of some to suppress this truth, God’s eternal power and divine nature are clearly seen, understood through what has been made. Every sunrise, every flower, every breath we take points to the Creator who spoke the world into being.
Creation itself serves as a testimony to God’s power and character. From the vast expanse of the universe to the tiniest microorganisms, every aspect of creation reflects His glory. As we marvel at the beauty and complexity of the natural world, we are reminded of God’s sovereignty and creativity. His invisible qualities are made visible through the works of His hands.
In light of this truth, let us embrace the reality of God’s existence with humility and awe. Let us recognize His handiwork in the world around us and respond with gratitude and worship. May we open our eyes to see His glory displayed in the heavens and on the earth, and may our hearts overflow with praise for the Creator of all things.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for revealing Your invisible qualities through the beauty and wonder of creation. Help us to see Your handiwork all around us and to respond with hearts full of gratitude and worship. May we never cease to marvel at Your power and glory displayed in the world You have made. In Jesus’ name, amen.
